Maximum Balance Foundation SPC runs a nationally recognized Employer-Driven Externship program, called CityLab. Which is focused on enhancing the skills of job seekers and placing/recruiting them into leading technology oriented employers. Specifically, job seekers are matched with sponsor employers and engage in project-based work to enhance their skills in high demand industry categories. Job seekers fill their skill gaps by working directly with an employer designed externship with their sponsor company. CityLab pulls from a variety of regional supply sources to provide employers with a rich array of candidates willing to be trained in specific fields. Additionally, externship candidates are subsidized by State and Federal workforce funds, thereby enabling employers to have minimal risk when training and onboarding candidates. Employer driven externships are concentrated in core Science Technology Engineering Arts, Music and Mathematics (STEAMM) fields and include a variety of project disciplines based upon the region’s employer base and labor supply. These tracks are customized based on the region’s employer and labor pool: Online/mobile gaming Cybersecurity Technical Project Management Product Management Software Engineering Quality Assurance Internet Marketing Business Process Data Science Web design, Graphic Artists, and User Experience Recruiting and HR Sales/Marketing

Super Volunteers

Lean teams function in a hierarchy that includes all levels of the business. There should be a group leader that facilitates communication and improvements among several teams. Each team, in turn, has a team leader responsible for implementing reasonable improvements and getting approval from group leaders. Each team member is responsible for finding and solving problems in their assigned area. Once a potential solution is identified, team members get together with the team leader and develop the solution.

Our Focus Counties are:

Alameda, Colusa, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake Trinity, Marin, Mendocino, Monterey, Napa, San Benito, San Francisco, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo County, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, Yolo.

We Support/Create initiatives to enable school systems to implement innovative teaching practices in science, technology, engineering, arts, music, and mathematics (STEAMM).

We prepare students for bay area jobs requiring knowledge of advanced 5G wireless network systems and are responsible for evangelizing Cisco Meraki through our world-class CMNA technical certification course and customized technical engagement program at the school called CityLab.

CityLab, is a consortium of companies, nonprofit associations and professional societies, STEAMM-related research & policy organizations, government entities, universities and academic institutions concerned with STEAMM education (SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ARTS, MUSIC, and MATH) and the future of human capital in the United States.

talk-action=nothing

CityLab is pioneering a path to jobs that are yet to be needed as we move towards the world where "things" are connected to each other over the internet.

Maximum Balance Foundation SPC was created as a partnership between business leaders, educators, and accelerators to address the need to prepare students for professional Information Technology Network Support careers.

CityLab Network Academy strategy is to provide State-Certified Technical Training programs in a Productive Laboratory, involve an attempt to serve over 50,000 students in over 8 Academies in 8 states and the District of Columbia in urban schools through small learning communities.

As we seek the endorsement of the TechShop, we use the facilities as members to drive long-term innovation.

CityLab has four key areas of focus: the Academy of Finance, the Academy of Hospitality & Tourism, the Academy of Information Technology, and the Academy of Engineering.
