Event description

Description

We often hear about the Rennaissance astronomers and physicists who placed Astronomy on a modern footing, but people like Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler, and Newton did not arise out of a vacuum, they based their work on the work of others who had preceded them in the Indian and Islamic worlds. We also highlight major advances such as the inner workings of stars and the discovery of dark matter which came from prominent women during the 20th century.

Public Observing at College Camp Observatory follows, weather permitting.
