SUNY ATTAIN Lab @ The North Bronx Career Counseling & Outreach Center Presents an MTA Testing Event. If you already have the knowledge but not the credentials here is an opportunity to get certified!!

12 tickets available for the MTA Get Certified Event - November 1st, 2016 – December 22, 2016 (MTA Exam Vouchers Provided at No Cost to You)

PLEASE NOTE: EXAMS ARE SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAYS FROM 10 AM to 3 PM and some evenings scheduled as needed.

There will be a Security check-in desk in the lobby, as you come up the stairs.

STATE/GOVERNMENT ID IS REQUIRED ; MUST BE NEW YORK STATE RESIDENT

ALL CANDIDATES WHO SIGN UP FOR THE EVENT MUST ATTEND AN ORIENTATION!!!

ABOUT THE MTA Get Certified Event

The Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) Get Certified event is ideal for students looking to validate technology skills and to differentiate themselves as part of the college or job application process. The event will ensure you have the skills needed to utilize technology, whether in the classroom or as part of an IT team.

What is the MTA certification?
Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) is a recommended entry point into IT certification and job preparation. Pass just one exam and you’ll earn a certification, taking your first step toward a career in technology. If you are just starting your IT career path or are looking to enhance your understanding of IT fundamentals, MTA will validate your core knowledge. MTA is an optional industry-recognized certification for those pursuing a career path in IT infrastructure, database design, or software development using Microsoft technologies.

What is the MTA Get Certified Event?
The MTA Get Certified event is 8 weeks dedicated to professional development preparing you to take one or more MTA exams. Test preparation material is provided and the exam(s) are offered onsite for free.

What does registering for the MTA Testing Do for me?
This event helps to enhance your tech skills, gets you interview ready and to certify your technology skills

What happens after I register for the MTA Test Event?
You will have at least one MTA Test Voucher reserved for you during the MTA Test Fest. You will be able to take an MTA Exam of your choosing while at the MTA Test Fest which will lead you to earning the Microsoft Technology Associate certification credential

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Yes. A State ID is required to register and you must be 17yrs of age or older to participate


What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Metered and street parking is available in the area of building, optional paid parking 1 Block away


What can/can't I bring to the event?

No Alcohol or Smoking

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

No.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

No. Only those registered with ID will be permitted in the building.

Q: How many questions are on each exam?
A: MTA Certification exams typically range between 30 and 50 questions.

Q: How long do I have to complete the exam?
A: You will have 50 minutes to complete your MTA Certification exam.


Q: When will I receive the results of my exam?
A: You will be able to see your score and exam result immediately after taking the exam.

Q: How do I get my MTA certificate after passing an exam?
A: Certificates are only available through online download. You can obtain any of your Microsoft certificates using the Microsoft Certified Professional website. You will need your Windows Live ID that has been associated with your Microsoft Certified ID in order to access this site.

Q: How do I get a copy of my score report?
A: Your score report will be shown immediately after completing your exam it will also be available on the Certiport website for your reference.

Q: Where can I find my certification transcript?
A: You can find a transcript of all your Microsoft certifications on the Microsoft Certified Professional website. You will need your Windows Live ID that has been associated with your Microsoft Certified ID in order to view this transcript.
