About the organizer

Established in 1986, PFCNY is a nonprofit association of licensed plumbing contractors, engineers, engineering associations, manufacturers, and suppliers whose mission is to ensure the public health through the enactment and enforcement of safe plumbing codes. In connection with that mission, PFCNY regularly meets with legislative and regulatory bodies that pass laws and promulgate regulations affecting the plumbing industry. PFCNY also works with various New York City agencies in their efforts to reduce unneeded bureaucratic steps and paperwork that increase costs to the consumer with no public health benefit. Finally, PFCNY runs New York City’s Gas Operator Qualification program for plumbers to obtain required qualifications for gas work on jurisdictional gas piping which enhances the safety of gas work, a key initiative of PFCNY.
