All Events Registration - Early Bird. Valid for competitors AND spectators. Non-refundable, but transferable. If you are a contestant, you must purchase an All Events Pass. "Adult" is anyone that has celebrated their 26th birthday.

We're almost there! The District will be purchasing new risers for International in Orlando, and we will use them for years to come at our District Events! We also have a matching donor...so pitch in and donate- every amount is acceptable!

Optional Donation: Saturday Night Afterglow Extravaganza
- What's the recommended optional donation amount for the Saturday Night Afterglow? $5.00 per person would be a great starting point. Feel free to donate more if you wish. The food and drink provided is enjoyed by many people for this Afterglow that closes out our weekend . Again, this is totally optional. ***No ticket is required for entry into the Afterglow***

All Events Pass - 50 Year BHS Member
Good for competitors and spectators. $25.00 price PER PERSON is valid for 50 Year BHS Member and one (1) guest (each attendee must purchase a ticket). Reserved block seating in front section of the ballroom for all events for 50 year Member and one (1) guest. Each attendee much purchase a pass.

All Events Pass - Student Price (25 and under)
Ages 16 to 25 ONLY - All Events Pass. Student is classified as someone who has not yet celebrated their 26th birthday. Non-refundable. Good for competitors and spectators. All competitors must purchase an All Event Pass.

Family Pack All Events Pass
Good for contestants and spectators. Includes two (2) adults, and up to six (6) children under the age of 16. Non-refundable. *Ages 16-25 must purchase a Student Ticket (if the child has reached his or her 16th birthday, they are a Student Ticket). Simply select one (1) of this ticket type, and upon checkout, you'll be able to enter your name, as well as the names of the other (1) adult and (up to 6) children.

Single Event - Friday Quartet Semifinals

We're glad you are planning to join us for a wonderful weekend of song and fellowship at the Orlando Airport Marriott, March 9th and 10th, 2018 as only the Sunshine District can host!

ALL COMPETITORS MUST HAVE AN ALL EVENTS PASS TO BE ON STAGE- NO EXCEPTIONS  

NO REFUNDS  - TICKETS MAY BE TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER ATTENDEE.

Marriott Hotel must be booked by February 22nd. Early Bird registration will also end on February 22nd.


Tentative Schedule (start times subject to change slightly)

Friday March 9th-  

10:00am- SUN District Board of Directors Meeting

11:00 REGISTRATION DESK OPENS

2:00pm SUN House of Delegates Meeting- Capri Room

7:00pm  2018 BHS International Quartet Quarterfinals and Mixed Quartet Contest.

*Following quartets, a very special performance by The Gaither High School (Tampa) “Hurricane of Harmony”, under the direction of great Sunshine District friend and icon, Debbie Cleveland.  This group just scored the highest “Superior” rating, and was voted ‘audience favorites’ at BHS Midwinter in California! 

DIX favorites ‘Category 4‘ quartet will be entertaining us, as well! 

(The hurricane theme was merely a coincidence...)

 

 Saturday March 10th -

11:00am- SUN District Chorus Championship Contest & Combined Chorus/VLQ Contest

*The Tampa Bay Heralds of Harmony will sing off their 2017 Chorus trophy immidiately following the chorus contest

*2017 SUN Barbershopper of the Year Award presented following chorus competition.

4:30pm Pre Semifinal Cocktail Hour hosted by President's Council Reception (Capri)- ALL ARE INVITED! (Cash Bar)

7:00pm- 2017 BHS International Quartet Preliminary Round- Qualifying to compete at BHS INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION, ORLANDO- Summer 2018!

Following Quartet Finals: the Sunshine Show of Champions featuring our BHS quartet qualifiers and our newly crowned SUN Chorus Champions. 

 *SUNGLOW Afterglow following in Capri Ballroom- donations needed, accepted, and appreciated! You may choose an Afterglow donation amount at checkout. ALL CHORUSES AND QUARTETS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SING!!


-Passes are non-refundable, but ARE transferrable.

NO REFUNDS  - TICKETS MAY BE TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER ATTENDEE.

-You will be emailed with your ticket receipt and at the time of purchase and again 48 hours before the event begins.

-Individual tickets for each event will be included with your packet at the registration table.

 -There will not be a seperate breakfast rate at the Marriott this year. All rooms are $114+tax per night.

-Use the "Family Plan" for families with multiple children (up to six/6 children) under the age of 16 years (ages 16-25 must purchase a Student Ticket).  Use this new price point to bring the kids and grandkids (and their singing friends) along for the weekend, and get them hooked on our hobby...the earlier the better, and the more the merrier! Just select one of this ticket type, and upon checkout, you'll be able to enter the names of the other adult and children  

-INFO: Parking at The Marriott: when booking your hotel room at The Marriott, the website mentions parking fees. Please don't be confused; these parking fees are waived for our Convention Attendees that are registered Marriott Hotel guests, and will not be on your final bill. Non-Marriott host hotel guests will be charged $5 for parking.

-50 Year BHS Members may purchase a discounted ticket for themselves, as well as a discounted ticket for one (1) guest. The price is $25.00 for each ticket. 50 Year Members will have a reserved block of seats towards the front of the ballroom (for the member and one guest).

 -Presidents Council Members and SUN HOF, as always, have a reserved block of seating in the front of the ballroom.Please be sure to mark yourself as a President's Council or Hall of Fame Member when checking out!

-Please- bring your lanyards. They'll also be available for $1.00 at the registration booth.

Single event tickets are not valid for competitors.

Each competitor MUST purchase an All Events Pass (Regular, Senior, or Youth). NO EXCEPTIONS


All online sales will end March 6th at 12:01 am EST.  After that, all passes/tickets may be purchased at the registration table (at the door).

FAQs

 - Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

ALL competitors MUST have an All Events Pass and be a BHS member in good standing to be on stage for BHS Contests. Single Event Tickets are NOT for quartet or chorus competitors   


 - What can/can't I bring to the event?

DO bring your unbridled support for every person that graces our stage!

DON'T use any recording devices in the Ballroom during a Judged Contest or show.

 

- Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

YES; if you will not be using your ticket(s), you may alert us to transfer names if you'd like someone else to use it.

 

Will Name Tags/Badges still be available?

YES. Name badges will be printed and ready with your tickets.  You should have kept your own name badge holder/lanyard for re-use.  If not, they will be for sale at the registration table for $1.00.

 

 - What is the refund policy?

Refunds are not allowed. Tickets/passes can be transferred to another member or attendee.

 

- The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Each person entering the ballroom must have their own ticket or pass.


- I'm  a competitor.  Will my "All Event Pass" be checked?

All competitors MUST purchase an All Event Pass (Regular, Student, or 50 Year).  Quartets will be checked prior to going on stage. Chorus members will be certified by your Secratary AND checked as a group prior to going on stage.

 

- What's the recommended donation amount for the Saturday Afterglow (optional)?

$5.00 per person would be a wonderful starting point.  Feel free to donate more if you wish.  The food and drink provided is enjoyed by many, many people for this Saturday night Afterglow that closes out our weekend . If you are one of the people attending and partaking, your donation is greatly appreciated.  Again, this is totally optional.

 

"The fine print"...for those that are just in the mood to read more stuff:

-All Events Pass/Early Bird Pass pricing ends on Thursday, Feb  22nd at 12:01am EST .

-All Events Pass/Regular price Pass $65 starts February 22nd and ends on March 6th at 12:01am EST.

-All Events Pass/Late and on-site Pass price is $75 at the door only after 12:01am EST March 6th

-ALL Single Event Tickets are $25 (not valid for competitors)

- All online sales end March 6th, 2017 at 12:01am EST (Tickets/passes to all events may be purchased at the door)

- $25 Student All Events Passes are valid for those who have not celebrated their 26th birthday. (Valid for Youth Competitors)

- $25 50-Year Member All Events Pass pricing is valid for 50 Year BHS Members, and the same price will be honored for one (1) guest.  Each attendee at this price point must purchase a pass. Reserved block seating behind Presiden'ts Council for the 50 year BHS member and one (1) guest.  (Valid for Competitors)


 -THE SOCIETY and SUNSHINE DISTRICT HAS A NO REFUND POLICY ON ALL SALES. HOWEVER, ALL TICKETS ARE TRANSFERRABLE.
