Event Details

As part of an ongoing partnership with Sunset magazine and after continued support from the Celebration Weekend and 2012 Wine Competition volunteers, Children’s Health Council (CHC) has been asked by Sunset to provide approximately 40 participants to help with the second annual Sunset International Wine Competition. It will be held at the Sunset campus at 80 Willow Road, Menlo Park, on April 6, 7, 8, and 9.

All participants will be paid minimum wage plus any applicable overtime in addition to getting wine. CHC and Sunset hope that all participants will strongly consider making a donation of either all or part of their earnings to CHC upon registration. Donations are tax deductible.

Participants are being asked to commit to all 4 days of the competition and those that do will be given preference, followed by those that register for three and then two days. There are a limited number of positions available.

Participants will be required to attend one 2-hour information and employment enrollment session March 10-12 with weekday, evening and weekend choices (food and wine provided). Participants will be served continental breakfast and lunch each day of the event; there will not be an opportunity to leave the campus during working hours. Must be 18 years of age to participate.

Approximate hours: Saturday, Sunday, April 6 and 7: Breakfast available: 8:00-9:00am; work 9:00am to 5:00pm with a 30 minute lunch break. Children's Health Council

At Children's Health Council, we believe there is a world of promise and potential in every child. Using a personalized approach, we help your children become happier, more resilient and more successful.

Our mission is to help children with ADHD, LD, Anxiety & Depression and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) thrive by promoting Social Emotional Learning, Academics, Executive Functioning and Physical Development.

We serve families in Silicon Valley as well as the greater San Francisco Bay Area through our Center, two schools and Community Clinic.

  • The Center: Expert multi-disciplinary assessment, personalized treatment and innovative programs (at CHC or your child's school) increase every child's ability to learn and achieve the balance necessary to enhance life experience and improve school performance. Ages 2-17.
  • Sand Hill School: Emphasizes students' strengths and empowers each child to build academic skills and resiliency while developing strong social competencies and a joy for learning. Our low student to teacher ratio and CHC specialists create a unique and happy environment. Grades K-5, expanding to K-8.
  • Esther B. Clark School: Provides transformative education where children with severe emotional and behavioral issues re-engage in learning and develop the positive behaviors necessary to transition back to a school district. Ages 7-16.
  • Community Clinic: Our nurturing specialists assess children and deliver behavioral health to underserved families, lifting social, emotional and developmental barriers to learning and life success. Our culturally sensitive and diverse staff is committed to working with families in both Spanish and English and to providing services to families in various Bay Area locations. Ages 0-18.
  • Parent/Professional Education: Unique clases offered onsite from September through May and presented by our Children's Health Council's experts in psychology, education and child development. Classes provide insights and answers on child behavior issues, executive functioning, bullying, signs and tips for ADHD, LD, Anxiety & Depression and Autism and supporting success for all children.
