Event description
Indoor Worship at St. Peter's

About this event

Moving forward, worship at St. Peter's will be inside at 9:30 a.m - every Sunday!

Currently, with our seats 4 feet apart, our space can accommodate approximately 50 people (including the ministers). In the case that more than 50 people register, we will host a live stream of the service, in the Parish Hall. We WILL distribute the Eucharist to those in our overflow seating.

We will practice many standards including wearing masks, softly singing, and others to ensure an environment that is comfortable and safe. We are asking that people sit together by "pod" - and define pod by "people you live with".

Please note, there are still many unknowns as we move back to inside worship, and to help make our worship as comfortable, and inviting, as possible, we have made a commitment to being flexible as we learn the needs of our congregation and community. If we need to make changes to this current format will and communicate as we go along. We thank you in advance for your flexibility.

Finally, if you are ever NOT able to join us for Worship, you'll always be able to live stream our service on or

From June 3rd email to the Congregation:

Dear Friends,

As many of you know, last Sunday (May 30th) was the first time we were able to worship inside and it was a glorious event! It was clear from the star,t that the bandaid had been ripped off and it would be VERY hard to go back outside. After talking to parish leadership, it was clear it is time to simply make indoor worship our default offering moving forward.

We hope that each week, more of the community who has not been able to join us over the last 14 minutes can slowly start to come back as they feel safe and able.

Various precautions will still be in place including...

  • We will require that everyone wears a mask. If you do not have one, we will have plenty.
  • Physical distancing will be required (4 feet minimum - two chairs distance).
  • We are asking that people sit in your family pods. For the time being, we request that you consider a “pod” as "the people you live with".
  • Singing of hymns will be allowed but we ask to sing a degree softer than normal.
  • Communion will be the host only, distributed in the front of the church in one line. We will return to standing around the altar again one day – it is certain.
  •  As always, we will live stream the service on Facebook and YouTube. For those of you that join via Livestream, the prayer for spiritual communion will be prayed. (We apologize for the audio issues last week).

For the time being, we still ask you to register on Eventbrite beforehand, and we still will require mask use and distancing. (See Link at the top of this email)

Finally, for those who will NOT be able to join us inside, please know this decision was not made lightly. We hope that soon you feel comfortable worshiping inside with us again. If you find this change has disrupted your ability to worship with us in person, please let me know.

I want to especially thank those who have been able to hand with us through all of the iterations of worship. I know that these sorts of changes are not what one desires from an Episcopal Church, but your faithfulness has been a light in a dark time.

Blessings and See you IN Church,

Fr. Colin
