Sunday Supper with discussion on environment and gender equality
Event Information
About this Event
Sunday Suppers is a new monthly series sponsored by CSL Visalia to showcase Spirituality in Action principles and the local activists who are in the trenches. The June 2 supper will feature P Kay Woods from Three Rivers, a recent delegate to the 63rd United Nations Commission on the Status of Women held in New York City March 11-22, talking about environmental action and gender equality.
“I was astounded at how many women from all over the world are focusing on these issues,” said Kay. “I went there to learn, but so many are working on it all the time. To think there are so many women who are coalesced into action groups, and that their issues overlap so much.”
The informal afternoon begins at 4:30 p.m. with planned potluck suppers followed by discussions on the topic of the evening. All are invited.
