Event description
This Sunday, we welcome Sivan Rotholz to our pulpit. She speaks about the ancient tradition of Hanukkah and its message to us all.

About this event

On Sunday, we open our Sanctuary to limited in person seating. Guest speaker Sivan Rotholz joins us from Israel. Her subject is "How to Respond to Darkness With Light."

~ With each night of Hanukkah, we are invited to light one more candle than the night before, increasing light in the world. Rooted in ancient traditions, the "Festival of Lights" is about food and family, community and culture, illumination and joy. But, from its inception, the lighting of Hanukkah candles has been about more than miraculous oil or the unlikely story of a people's triumph. Arriving in the depth of winter, Hanukkah invites us to be a light in the face of darkness, to play an active role in illuminating a dark world. ~

Mary Anthony serves as worship associate, and Heather Arata provides our story for all ages. Prelude music by Dr. Thomas Royal begins at around 10:50 am. Childcare is provided, but please be sure to reserve a seat for your child.

Please use this form to sign up to attend Sunday service. Because of COVID-transmission risk, attendance at service is limited to 75 seats.

All chairs in the Sanctuary will be socially-distanced and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

In order to protect all in attendance, we ask those who intend to come to service to have been vaccinated if they are eligible, to wear a mask when inside and to maintain social distancing. Please do not enter the Fellowship Hall
