Sunday Gathering FAQ
What time do doors open?
The building will open at 8:30 am, and 11 am, 30 minutes before the start of each service, to allow for proper sanitization of the building. All guests will need to enter through the front of the building in order to display their printed or digital ticket to check-in.
Can I sit together with my family?
Yes! Members of the same family or household may sit together in a group without needing to stay 6 feet apart. Family/Household groups will be physically distanced from other groups or individuals by at least 6 feet.
Will LH Kids be available during the Gathering?
LH Kids is available at the 9 am service for ages 6 months through 5th grade. Registration is required for LH Kids as we are operating at a limited capacity. We are using a phased approach to reopen, so only ages 6 months through 5th are available at this time. When registering for a ticket on Eventbrite, make sure to choose “LH Kids” on the dropdown menu to reserve a space for your child. Masks are required, and there will be temperature checks upon arrival. For more information on what to expect in LH Kids, please visit LH Families, or check out the list of FAQs for LH Kids here.
Does registering guarantee me a seat?
Yes, there are enough seats available for everyone that registers. However, due to social distancing seating in the sanctuary is limited. Sanctuary seating is available on a first come first serve basis. Once the sanctuary is full there is additional seating available in the foyer.
Do I need to wear a mask?
Yes, in accordance with health recommendations and guidelines, we will be asking each attendee to continue to wear their mask while in the building.
Will we be allowed to sing?
Yes! We believe worship is never a spectator sport. While worship is certainly much more than just singing, it is never less than that, and we want to worship with our hearts, hands, feet, AND voices. We do ask that in accordance with health recommendations and guidelines, that masks remain on while singing.
How can I ‘save a seat’ in the Sanctuary?
Pre-Registration will be available and required in order to attend the Gathering at the LH Glen Burnie Campus. You will be able to register online as well as complete any necessary Waivers and Agreements prior to attending. Only those who are pre-registered will be able to enter the building for the Gathering. On-site, day-of registration will not be available.
Will the Cafe be open?
No, unfortunately, we will not be opening the Cafe at this time.
I do not feel comfortable gathering with such a large group quite yet, but I would like to gather with a few people, what can I do?
We certainly understand this option may not be for everyone. We are also encouraging in-home Watch Parties! These are smaller gatherings of 10 people or less who meet at an individual's home to watch the Worship Service stream together in person. These can happen anywhere at any time! You could start one yourself by just inviting some friends or family over to watch together.
Statement of Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk Related to Coronavirus/COVID-19
On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, a pandemic. COVID-19 is highly contagious and known to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and various protocols for safety. Lighthouse Church (“LH”) has put precautions in place to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, LH cannot guarantee that you or your family, including your child(ren), will not become exposed to or infected with COVID-19. Further, because of the number of individuals involved in LH worship service and the fact that many infected individuals appear to be asymptomatic, attending this activity could increase your and your child(ren)’s risk of contracting COVID-19.
By signing this waiver, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my child(ren) and I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19. I also acknowledge that by attending LH, such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, disability, and/or death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at LH may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, LH staff, contractors, volunteers, partners, and attendees and their families.
I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my child(ren) or myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense of any kind that I or my child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with my child(ren)’s attendance at LH or participation in the service. On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless LH, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of the LH, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in the service.
