About the Instructor:

Dina is a longtime neighbor, artist, and former teacher who’s been part of this community for nearly 30 years. Her creative work blends handicrafts, sustainability, and a love for all things whimsical. She's especially inspired by nature, nerdy things, and the magic of found materials – from plants to tiny treasures. She love creatively reusing and repurposing materials around us to make unique, meaningful art. She loves helping people explore their creativity in approachable, hands-on ways. Her workshops are playful, beginner-friendly, and designed to leave you with something special, fun, and totally you. Can’t wait to make something magical together!

Carmen and Steven started Sunset Commons to provide a space to connect and build community through arts and craft activities led by talented local artists. Inspired by a love for creativity and a desire to foster connection in the Sunset District, we envisioned a “third space” where neighbors can gather, unwind, and form meaningful relationships.
