Description

Sunday Brunch with Ralph McLean
Featuring Stevie Scullion, Mandy Bingham and Paddy Nash
In Association with Bushmillls Irish Whiskey
(ticket price includes a light brunch)

"It's a real privilege for me to curate this year's Sunday Brunch in the Flowerfield. I've been involved with the Atlantic Sessions since it started and every year I'm always hugely impressed by the sheer scope of musical talent to grace the festival programme. This year I'm welcoming three of our very finest musical troubadours to the stage. First up is Stevie Scullion. As Malojian Stevie has been making sublime sounds for years now but his latest album Let Your Weirdness Guide You Home is arguably his first proper psychedelic masterpiece. Then it's the turn of Mandy Bingham who is one of this countries finest songwriters and performers. This year she has marked the 50th anniversary of her famous songwriting father David McWilliams passing by recording a haunting version of his song The Days Of Pearly Spencer. Her new album is likewise a thing of rare beauty. Finally I've asked Derry songwriter Paddy Nash to come along and share some songs from his powerful new album Gate Fever with us. Normally surrounded by his Happy Enchiladas band this new release allows Paddy to tell his beautifully crafted stories in a laid back acoustic style. Together Stevie, Mandy and Paddy should make for a very special brunch indeed. I hope you can join me for a little musical magic." Ralph McLean
