Sunday Adventures at Kampung Kampus
Event Information
About this Event
Want to spend your weekends immersed in rural farm life and close to nature? Join our farm guides on our Sunday Adventures at Kampung Kampus - a 6-acre biodynamic organic farm managed by non-profit group Ground-up Initiative in Northern Singapore. Learn about the beautiful native plants on the farm, the farm's organic farming techniques, sustainability and the importance of such a space to Singapore. The farm tour is sensory and touching and smelling will be encouraged.
After the tour, pick a hands-on pot-a-plant session (2 pots), terrarium making session or paddy planting session! The pot a plant workshop teaches participants how to grow plants from seeds and cuttings, with each participant taking home two types of plants. The terrarium making session allows participants to build and decorate their own glass garden, a great plant companion at home or at the workplace. Want even more time outdoors and a truly unique kampung experience? Then opt for the paddy planting (available only for the earlier session) where participants get into a real rice field and plant paddy!
This experience happens every Sunday from 7 February 2021, at two sessions: 930am and 11am. Tickets are limited to 20 per session so book early to avoid disappointment. Walk in spots strictly based on availability capped at 20 due to safe management measures.
Address: Ground-Up Initiative, 91 Lorong Chencharu, Singapore 769194
Note: Accompanying adults need not purchase the full ticket if they are not participating in the hands on session. They only need to purchase the accompanying ticket for the farm tour.
