What is SUMMIT?
We recognize that the transition into Middle School is a huge milestone in the life of your student and we are so excited to welcome them to The Point (Middle School Ministry). SUMMIT is a day full of crazy fun intended to introduce incoming 6th graders to The Point and show them an environment where they can come to KNOW Jesus, GROW in their love for Him & others, and to SERVE like Jesus. We have a day packed full of games, exciting events and teaching! You dont want to miss out on this day of craziness.
When is it?
SUMMIT is on june 3rd from 10AM-8PM. After SUMMIT students will then be invited to The Point which meets on Sunday nights from 5:00pm-6:30pm in Portable #2. They will also be able to participate in all of our summer events which are posted on our church website austinridge.org/middleschool
What happens at SUMMIT?
We do our best to give your student a little taste of what student ministry is like and the crazy amount of fun we like to have throughout the year. Activities in the past have included late laser tag, rock climbing, slip-n-slide kickball, shaving cream wars, paint wars, putt putt, inflatables, etc. Our desire is to cultivate a sense of community amongst our 6th grade class before they enter Middle School.
How much does it cost?
The cost of SUMMIT is $35 which includes all activities, 2 meals, snacks, drinks, transportation and a t-shirt. Scholarships are available upon request. We never want money to be the reason why a student cannot participate, so if you need assistance please don't hesitate to ask.
