The Summit For Sarcoma is in its 4th year. It was founded by Brianna Bailey-Dodge who fought a rare form of Sarcoma for just over four years. Sadly Brianna passed away on April 1st of 2014. In the final years of her life she battled her cancer at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, VT. It was there that she became aware of the Cancer Patient Support Program.
Brianna felt blessed that she had a support system of family and friends that were able to help and support her throughout her battle, but she knew that many others who are struggling with cancer do not have the support she did. That's where the Cancer Patient Support Program (an independent non-profit group) at Fletcher Allen Health Care steps in. They provide help, education, and resources that would otherwise not be readily available.
In Brianna's words:"I have had many positive experiences with the doctors, nurses, and support staff and they continue to help me manage the disease and live well. There are other Vermonters struggling with this disease and it's my wish to help Fletcher Allen raise the resources to help them in their fight against this potentially deadly cancer."
And so the Summit for Sarcoma was born. Please join us in supporting Brianna's favorite charity and helping support the Cancer Patient Support Program.
