Description

TICKETS GO ON SALE STARTING TUESDAY, JANUARY 15!

Summer Spark is back for its fifth year in 2019, and it's going to be bigger and better than ever!

Summer Spark is an annual two-day innovation symposium for teachers and administrators. It draws educators from around the Milwaukee area, the country, and even the world, with past participants coming from as far away as Mexico, Venezuela, and Argentina.

In 2015, the symposium's inaugural year, more than 200 educators representing more than 60 schools came together to collaborate and share best practices in innovative teaching. In 2016, 2017, and 2018, Summer Spark sold out in advance, with more than 260 educators attending from more than 70 different schools each year.

Summer Spark returns in 2019 featuring keynote speakers Angela Maiers and Dr. Joe Sanfelippo.

Angela Maiers is a passionate educator and speaker known internationally for her commitment to growth and change in education and enterprise for 31 years. Her experience includes teaching every level of school from grade school to graduate school and consulting with companies around the world. Find out more about Angela at angelamaiers.com and follow her on Twitter at @angelamaiers.

Dr. Joe Sanfelippo has held every position in education, including teacher, counselor, coach, principal, and professor. He currently serves as the superintendent of the Fall Creek School District in Fall Creek, WI, which was named an Innovative District in 2016 and 2017 by the International Center for Leadership in Education. Joe shares his thoughts on education on his blog jsanfelippo.com and is active on Twitter at @joe_sanfelippo.

Additional featured presenters include Michael Matera, Tisha Richmond, Jonathan Spike, Mandy Froelich, and preschool track presenters "Teacher Tom" Hobson and Dr. Diane Kashin.

Online registration opens January 15, 2019. The cost for both days is just $225, and an early-bird rate of only $195 is offered if you register by March 15, 2019.
