Event description

Description

We are proud to host our inaugural Summer Solstice Symphony Concert on Wednesday June 21, 2017 at the beautiful San Francisco War Memorial Performing Arts Center! We are honored to be one of the first community organization to host an event in newly renovated the Diane B. Wilsey Center for Opera. This will be a joyous evening of music by Symphonia Caritas, and all proceeds go directly towards the critical services we provided to over 3,000 San Francisco Bay Area low income and homeless veterans in 2016. Join us in celebrating our accomplishments, and looking towards a future where all veterans have the access to the care and services they deserve.

Symphonia Caritas is led by conductor Paul Schrage, and backed by a chamber orchestra of professional musicians. The mission of Symphonia Caritas is about giving back to the community through music, donations, and heartwarming experiences through live music performances while also supporting musicians to serve the arts. The evening will feature Beethoven’s Symphony 8 and Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor. It will also feature violin soloist, Ian Swensen, who has established himself as one of the most dynamic, diverse, and sought-after performers and teachers on the music scene today.
