Summer Reading Program is designed to help children maintain or improve the reading skills they developed during the school year, so that when school resumes in the fall, they are ready to continue moving forward.

Our theme for 2019 is A Universe Of Stories

We have partnered with a few wonderful local experts and look forward to bringing you an exciting summer of reading and STEM

Wednesdays and Thursdays 1:00-3:00 P.M.

WEEK 1: Planets
June 12: Introduction to Planets •Soil one of the attributes that make us different. ( Making Seed Bombs to sell at Farmers' Market)
June 13: Soil. Earth VS Other Planets How are we different?

June 19 Healthy Nutrition What do they eat in space? (Space Ice Cream)
June20 NASA (NASA obstacle course)

The Galaxy
June 26 MCS (McCall Community School)
June 27 Canvas Art of The Galaxy (To be sold at Farmers' Market the following week)

July 3rd Rockets
July 4th NO SRP Happy 4th Of July

Animals YES including animals in space and science.
July 10th 4-H Petting Zoo 1:00-3:00 P.M. (Famous Books About Animals)

I hereby certify that I am the adult parent or guardian of a minor
child under the age of eighteen years, and I consent to his/her participation in the Donnelly
Public Library District Donnelly Reading Club (the “DRC”) and their Summer Reading Program (SRP).
I understand and acknowledge that I am fully aware of and assume the risks (including but not
limited to the risk of serious bodily injury, property loss or damage) of said minor child’s
participation in the activities of Summer Reading Program. I understand that said minor child may participate in STEM activities such as petting zoos, STEM activities, and Farmers' Market. The DRC involves reading, occasional computer use, outdoor activities, art and crafts activities, and snacks/drinks.
If your child requires a special snack or has dietary restrictions, please provide an appropriate
snack. DRC may not be able to meet the needs of those with dietary restrictions.
Knowing the risks described above, I agree, personally and on behalf of the minor child named
above, to assume all the risks and responsibilities surrounding my minor child’s participation in SRP. I acknowledge that by registering on this form it holds the same as a signed contract. To the fullest extent allowed by law, I hold harmless and agree to indemnify the Donnelly Public Library District, their officers, staff, volunteers, employees, and agents, from and against my present or future claim, cause of action, loss or liability for injury to person or property, which said minor child may suffer or for which said minor child may be liable to any other person, related to said minor child’s participation in the DRC resulting from any cause whatsoever, and regardless of fault.
I am at least eighteen years of age and have carefully read and freely register the minor child / signed this Liability Waiver and Release Form (Minor Child). I understand and agree that no oral or written
representations can or will alter the contents of this document. I agree that this agreement shall
be governed by the laws of the State of Idaho.
I allow the Library to use images of my child in media releases of my child in media releases, on social media, or other publications for purposes of promoting Library Programs. (Not limited to but including Donnelly Farmers' Market, ICFL, and others.) If I do not want my child's photograph taken I will send a written letter via email to or Donnelly Public Library P.O. Box 403 Donnelly, ID 83615.

Submitting this registration is agreeing to all of the above. I also understand that the staff at the Donnelly Library may request me to sign other releases and documents at any time throughout the summer.

Wednesdays and Thursdays 3rd - 8th grade are allowed to remain at the library until 6 to allow them to participate in Farmers' Market and SRP Reading challenge.
