Summer Mixology (MITSBAA Resilience Series)

Jaclyn Selby founded Sous Chef to build community through culinary experiences with the notion that immersive, shared events unite us in meaningful ways. Prior to Sous Chef, Jaclyn gained 13 years of experience in media, advertising technology, sales, and management. Jaclyn is founding host of MIT’s Sloan Alumni Online Speaker Series. She earned an MBA form MIT’s Sloan School of Management and Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern University.

Jackie brings us Berto Santoro, a Master Mixologist, who is one of the most respected mixologists in the country, with over two decades of experience. He most recently oversaw the cocktail program at Farina, with an award winning James Beard chef Michael Smith. Farina is a restaurant located in Kansas City. Among his many accomplishments, Berto also co-founded the Kansas City Chapter of the United States Bartender’s Guild in 2011, which is a non-profit organization with a mission to elevate the profession through education, service, and camaraderie.

We will be creating a series of cocktails including gin and rum based cocktails, using seasonal garnishes and simple syrup, as well as mocktail alternatives. A special recipe for “nibbles” will be included!
