Summer Lunch 2014 Orientation

This orientation will give you an overview of our partnership with the City of Oakland and train you in how to be a successful volunteer at a library site. In order to serve summer lunches, you must attend this orientation first! We offering multiple sessions, so pick the date that works best for you!
The orientation is 1.5 hours long and you only need to attend it once. We are offering multiple sessions of the orientation, starting on May 28th and ending on June 11th. On all days, we start at the same time: at 12 pm. We encourage you to sign up for as early a training date as possible so that you have more selection in terms of what libraries and shifts that you want to do. Shifts are first-come, first-serve.
In order to volunteer for the library summer lunch program, you will only need to attend orientation once. You can choose what day you'd like to attend. We ask that you arrive on-time so that we can finish by 1:30 pm. At your session, you will be able to pick your library and the times you will volunteer there, so please bring your schedule or calendar!
****NEW THIS YEAR: We are offering ONE EVENING TRAINING on June 3rd from 6-7:30 pm for volunteers like teachers and students who can't make our midday trainings. Please ONLY RSVP to this training if you absolutely cannot make our midday training time due to school. Thanks!****
