The JAMboree; a 3-day ACOUSTIC MUSIC JAM CAMPOUT near Dixon, CA on a 47-acre "Beer Farm". Workshops, Evening Concerts, and much more!
About this event
WHAT; A 3 day Music JAM campout at Northern California’s premiere “Beer Farm” just outside of the town of Dixon. Ruhstaller is a working farm that grows its own hops, then brews, and pours a wide variety of beers…all on their 47-acre spread. Free-range chickens, sheep, live roots, folk & world music, and dogs with their well-behaved humans, are all welcome!
The Director of the JAMboree is award-winning multi-instrumentalist performer, producer and educator Joe Craven. Joe is a nationally known recording artist who teaches at a variety of music camps throughout the U.S.. He also directs RiverTunes Roots Music Camp, Vocáli Voice Camp and WinterTunes Online Camp.
Tent camp under the shade of the 35-acre walnut orchard, or lodge in a vehicle camper. There is limited space for camping vehicle and it’s 1st come/1st served. Of course folks who do not overnight are welcome as well.
HOW; A wide variety of workshops will be held each day. Sessions include instruction on the art of jamming, in addition to songwriting, singing, ukulele, guitar, fiddle, mandolin, Dobro and percussion. There will be community drumming, fun yoga / Qi Gong movement sessions, vocal wake-ups, and a community sing-a-longs. Afternoons include more workshops and facilitated jams in different styles. Spontaneous workshops are encouraged. The evening social dinner break includes a different concert of regional and touring professionals each night. More jamming takes place by the fire pit and any of the many campsites spread out in the orchard and around the farm. Tons of fun is what we’re after.
WHERE; 6686 Sievers Rd. Dixon, CA 95620 (right off I-80 between Dixon & Davis). The Brewery is open to the public during its regular hours and we’ll have plenty of designated areas for Jamming!
