ABOUT THE EVENT
Summer Jam at Mundy Park!
On July 28th, 1973 one of the largest gatherings of people for a concert took place just outside Watkins Glen, New York. The bill was named Summer Jam. The lineup consisted of The Band, The Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers Band. The crowd? Over 600,000 people. Yes, bigger than Woodstock.
Our friends in Peach Jam recently reached out to us. They pointed out that the 50th anniversary of this historic concert was going to land on a Friday night and with our access to the beautiful, adjacent Mundy Park, it might be nice to create our own Summer Jam…
On July 28th, 2023 Peach Jam and Cream Puff Warriors will create an evening to remember. Peach Jam will be bringing the music of The Allman Brothers Band. Cream Puff Warriors will be bringing the music of The Grateful Dead. As if that isn’t enough, beginning the evening both bands will collaborate on an epic tribute to The Band.
This is going to be a summer event to remember. The music of The Band, The Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers Band brought to you by some of the very best players in the Chicago Jam scene. Outside. Live. See you there!
