Join us for the 9th Annual EFIS Summer Finale and fundraiser! The program will feature a student showcase, as students in the CDF Freedom Schools Summer Program will design the program for the evening in order to share what they learned over the summer with family, friends and community.

By supporting EFIS, you will help provide:

• Tuition-free, local implementation of the Children's Defense Fund's high quality, culturally relevant youth development program that builds literacy and social-emotional skills and centers around civil rights and social action
• Summer programming open to all youth in Kalamazoo County, specially designed to reduce the summer slide
• Afterschool programming for elementary students, including homework help and support for students who are struggling in reading
• Books for each youth's home library as well as daily meals and field trips for youth in the program
