Join us for a summer festival and end of year celebration - A fundraiser for Raheen Wood Steiner national school in the beautiful pavilion on the shores of Lough Derg in AnnaCarriga Estate, on Mon June 26th 5-8:30pm.
In the programme: Sacred song and beatboxing workshop with Nóirín Ní Riain and Moley P O Suilleabhain.
A concert with the duo AnTara with Tommy Hayes & Matthew Noone.
Delicious Home-Made Food Stalls and and a a truly enjoyable family summer afternoon on the beautiful grounds and delightful lake.

About the performers:
Nóirín Ní Riain - PhD is an internationally acclaimed spiritual singer who has performed worldwide. A theologian and musicologist, she was awarded the first doctorate in theology from the University of Limerick in 2003. She currently lives at the Benedictine monastery of Glenstal Abbey where she runs regular workshops and courses on many aspects of theology and Gregorian Chant. A prolific recording artist, she has also written several books, the most recent being on her doctoral research entitled Theosony: Towards a Theology of Listening (Columba Press, 2011).

Moley P O Suilleabhain - Mícheál 'Moley' Ó Súilleabháin (33) singer, speaker, rapper, human beatboxer, musician, poet, composer and actor from Limerick, Ireland. He holds an MA in Ethnomusicology specializing in Irish rap music and travels widely performing to audiences of all ages.

AnTara is a unique duo comprised of Tommy Hayes & Matthew Noone that explores the spaces in-between the traditions of Irish traditional and Indian Classical music.

Matthew 'mattu' Noone, an ex-indie rocker and well-known performer of the 25 stringed lute called sarode, has studied North Indian Classical music in Kolkata under Sougata Roy Chowdhury and from UK based sarodiya, K. Sridhar for well over a decade. He has recorded with Sean Tyrell, Ronan O' Snodaigh collaborated with Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill in a 2 week tour of India. In 2015 he was invited to perform at the Masters of Tradition festival in Bantry House, Cork.

Meanwhile, in a career that has exemplified diversity, bodhran player Tommy Hayes has performed and recorded with most of the great names in traditional music and beyond, has been at the forefront of Irish music for over 30 years. He was a founding member of traditional group, Stockton's Wing and is considered one of the greatest bodhran players on the planet.
