The Summer Cultural Hub is a multidisciplinary culture & arts program. Offering literary celebrations, art exhibitions, film screenings and dance performances all contributing to cement Dominican culture and folklore’s reputation in Washington Heights.
This first year’s program, the summer cultural Hub has been focused on Dominican folk dance, traditional games and carnival characters. With the support and collaboration of L Ivan Dominguez, director of El Conjunto Folklorico, the result has been a mix of dances and carnival characters representing over seven regions of the Dominican Republic.
