Summer Conference: Organizing for Healthcare Justice in California

Tickets: Each ticket is the same. Attendees may choose the ticket based on the price they would like to pay for the conference from free to donation of your choice. Ticket sales will end the day before the conference, but tickets may be bought at the door.
Who should attend: This conference is for all who are interested in learning more about single payer, the Campaign for a Healthy California and its membership and the movement for just healthcare in California. It is geared towards both newly interested community members and activists, leaders and representatives from new organizations, as well as Campaign for a Healthy California (CHC) regional coordinators, representatives and leaders from the various CHC member organizations.
Conference goals: Saturday is specifically intended to give new activists and interested organizational representatives more information about single payer and the CHC. Sunday is focused on giving activists the various tools they need to build their regional coalitions and build the grassroots movement we need to win healthcare for ALL Californians. Everyone is encouraged to attend both days.
Workshops will cover topics such as media skills, coalition organizing strategies, creative actions, the basics and advanced details of Single Payer, and speakers trainings.

Driving Information: Access the UCLA campus from the 405 freeway. Exit either Sunset or Wilshire Blvd. Head east on Sunset Blvd. and enter at Westwood Plaza (north side of campus) or east on Wilshire to Westwood Blvd. (south side of campus). Note: The Wilshire Blvd OFF Ramp is closed from 405 N. According to the website, the OFF Ramp from 405 S should be unaffected. If you would like to enter campus on the Westwood side from 405 North, please take the Santa Monica Blvd (2) exit, continue straight onto Cotner Avenue, turn right onto Ohio Ave, then make a left onto Westwood Blvd. You may follow Westwood Blvd all the way onto UCLA campus.
If entering campus from Wilshire Blvd./Westwood Blvd. we recommend that you park in Parking Lot 6 (P6) and proceed to Ackerman Union. If entering campus from Sunset Blvd. we recommend that you park in Parking Lot 4 or 7 (P4 or P7) and proceed to Ackerman Union or Kerckhoff Hall.
