Event description

Description

Learn about two NYU summer accelerator opportunities for current AND graduating NYU students, researchers and postdocs to build startup momentum, with mentorship, money, and more. Startup Sprint and Summer Launchpad alumni companies earned a combined $110,000,000+ in revenue last year, and include Brooklinen, Smart Vision Labs, Medivis, Food Period, and Govern for America.

NYU Summer Startup Sprint

  • May 26-June 5 | 2-week customer development intensive to help your team reach problem-solution fit. Read more on our website.
  • 12 teams | $1,000 grant | $5,000 AWS perks | 24/7 Co-working space

NYU Summer Launchpad

  • June 9-August 7 | 9 week mentorship and skills building accelerator to help you gain market traction. Read more on our website.
  • 10 teams | $10,000 grant | $15,000 in perks | 60 mentors | 24/7 Co-working space | Demo Day

We consider all ventures for these opportunities, but teams with diverse founders (skills, ages, NYU schools, gender, race, ethnicity etc.) are especially encouraged to apply. Individuals from all NYU schools, working on scalable ventures (including non-profits) in all sectors are welcome.

PLEASE NOTE: Attending an info session is a mandatory requirement of applying to both the Summer Startup Sprint and Summer Launchpad programs. These opportunities are only open to current and recently graduated (2019 or 2020) NYU students and postdocs (or non-NYU startup team members who already have an NYU co-founder). These programs are NOT for credit. However, (just like a startup) they REQUIRE full-time commitment to your venture during the length of the program.

Both programs are led by the team at the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute, out of the Leslie eLab.

The Summer Startup Sprint is offered in partnership betweeen the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute with the CIE at the Tandon School of Engineering, and supported by VentureWell and the National Science Foundation under Grant Number 1644681.
