Summary judgment and summary adjudication motions are a powerful tool for obtaining dismissal of a civil case or for narrowing the issues before trial. About the Speaker:

Catherine Richardson is a Deputy City Attorney for the City of San Diego. She has a broad array of civil trial experience during her 31 years as an attorney. For the entirety of her career she has focused on litigation, including criminal prosecution and civil litigation, and has handled both plaintiff and defense cases. She has served as a pro tem Small Claims Court judge and an arbitrator. She received the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award and has been selected for San Diego Magazines Top Lawyers since 2014.  She is currently the President of San Diego Inns of Court.
