Event description
The Polar Plunge is a fun event to support the ongoing ministry of Sumatanga Camp and Conference Center.

About this Event

Plunge Details: Brave participants will rush into the freezing waters of Lake Sumatanga on February 23rd, or take the extra challenge of the Super Plunge and jump off the bridge into Lake Sumatanga. Each participant receives a commemorative T-shirt and bragging rights!

Plunge begins with an opening ceremony at 12:00 p.m. Check in begins at 11:00 a.m. Parking near the lake is limited and participants must park at the main parking lot at the lodge and walk to the lake. Please arrive in plenty of time to walk to the lake. When you leave your car, please make sure you bring a towel and a change of clothes with you. A volunteer at McBee Pavilion will be happy to get you checked in for the event.

SHOES MUST BE WORN BY PARTICIPANTS! Closed-toes shoes are preferable, but Chacos are acceptable. Please make sure the shoe can be securely strapped to your foot (no flip-flops or slides!). There are sharp rocks around the lake and we want everyone to be safe!

Join us for the Polar Plunge and be freezin' for a reason!
