About this Event

The How’s and Why’s of Drawing

Oscar Peterson

Saturdays, 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm

6 weeks, July 13 – August 17

$160 for members, $180 for non-members

If you’ve ever asked these questions:

“How do you draw an eye?” “Why does my drawing of hair look like spaghetti?” What pencil should I use when rendering shadows?”

Then the “Why’s and How’s of drawing” class is for you! This class explores and defines why we typically make mistakes in drawing and how to correct them. Visual artist and teacher, Oscar Peterson will guide you through the trickiness of drawing. Each week we will explore a single task – drawing an eye, rendering hair, how to draw lips, etc. Giving you a step-by-step breakdown, which will provide you the ability to simplify even the most complex of drawing subjects – the human form.
