About the speaker:
As a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner in Nebraska, Sonya Fittje has had experience working in various levels of care. This has included inpatient, outpatient, and residential settings providing Individual, Group and Family therapy to numerous youth and families. While working towards her Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling, Sonya spent almost 5 years as a telephone Crisis Counselor at Boys Town National Hotline. Currently, Sonya is a Clinical Hotline Supervisor for the Hope 4 Iowa Crisis Line, which launched its call line and website on June 1, 2015. Sonya loves this opportunity to provide clinical supervision and training, while also staying connected to direct-care by talking to some of the callers on the Hope 4 Iowa Crisis Line.  Her experiences as a supervisor and counselor have helped her to gain vast knowledge on how to identify, assess and prevent safety concerns.
