5:30 - 6:30pm Resource Fair (Food Provided; light fare) Numerous agencies will be providing informational material on their programs, answer questions and help parents sign up for services. (Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Supportive Services, Community Centers, Housing Programs, Benefits, Medical, Dental, Legal Services and more)
6:30pm– 7:00pm - Suicide Awareness and Prevention, StarVista will present information about how to indentify if your child is at-risk of suicide and how to talk to them about your concerns.
7:00pm - 8:00pm Panel of Local Mental Health and Substance Abuse Providers - Local providers will talk about how to get Mental Health and Substance Abuse services for your child, what insurances they take and what services they offer. Providers listed below:
Kaiser Permanente - Access to Mental Health & substance Abuse Services
Mills-Peninsula Hospital (Adolescent Inpatient & Outpatient) - What a Psychiatric Hospital stay would look like and what Intensive Outpatient Sevrices are offered.
Behavioral Health and Recovery Services - Access to services and what services are avilable for Youth and Families.
San Mateo Union High School District Mental Health and Wellness Program - What new Menal Health services and groups are available on campus and how to access them.
StarVista - Crisis Line and Text Line Services, What Counseling services are avilable to youth and families and how to access them
Edgewood - How to access the Intensive Outpatient Program offered at their San Carlos site, what services are offered and what insurances are accepted.
Youth Services Bureau - How to access their sliding-scale counseling services for youth and families, what groups they offer at their clinic, including their 12 week Substance Abuse Group, First Stop.
HealthRIGHT 360 - How to access their Adolescent Outpatient Substance Abuse Program in San Mateo
