"Subject To CHANGE...” by Brave Soul Collective
Subject To Change
ABOUT THIS PERFORMANCE:
On Thursday June 27th, Brave Soul Collective (BSC) makes its fourth annual DC Black Theatre Festival appearance, with “Subject To CHANGE...” a series of all new theatrical works written and performed by some of DC’s most talented African American artists.
After presenting the inspiring stage production, “BALANCING ACTS: Tales of Triumph, Trial & Error” earlier this year in honor of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, BSC returns to the Sitar Arts Center on Thursday June 27th, at 7pm, with an electrifying stage play which is sure to take audience members on a journey like only the Brave Soul ensemble can.
Through a combination of short scenes & monologues, this performance will tackle issues such as relationships, sex, dating, family, career, and much more by cleverly weaving them all together, while demonstrating how we’re all at the mercy of the only constant in life, which is...CHANGE.
This performance which is sponsored in part by Us Helping Us, People Into Living, also takes place on National HIV Testing Day and is being presented to encourage everyone to get tested, to know their HIV status, and to empower them to make wise, informed choices about their sexual health through HIV/AIDS education and prevention.
"Subject To CHANGE...” features all new, original theatrical works written & directed by playwrights - Thembi Duncan, Alan Sharpe,Jared Shamberger, & BSC founder, Monte J. Wolfe. For mature audiences only.
