Each day we will be reading and discussing about a third of Great Master Yu's (Great Master Dechan Jueren's) Sutra, Words of a Buddha: Selected Talks 1999-2003. These teachings were offered to many students in the United States during this time, and are being made available in book form from the Mandarin Chinese to English translations that were made at the time of the teachings -- as Great Master Yu was presenting. All of the teachings are Great Master Yu's, as they were translated, and then later transcribed by his students. Topics range from, "On Becoming a Buddha" to discourses about various dharmas that were being taught, to "Buddhism & Martial Arts" to his address at the "United Nations' Millennium Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders."

Students are encouraged to bring their own copy of the Sutra, to pre-purchase one or to expect to buy one on site ($30). Students are also encouraged to bring a notebook and a writing utensil to take notes and to assist in cultivating their wisdom, their understanding, and their conversations about Great Master Yu's teachings. Tuition covers all three days, and includes some light refreshments. Class size limit is 9, due to space limitations.
