Event description
This is a Student's Tea with NUS alumnus and local author, Shawn Seah

About this Event

As we celebrate our Bicentennial this year, have you ever wondered what does this mean to all of us?

This September, we are privileged to have NUS alumnus and local author Shawn Seah to talk to us about his personal experiences and involvement in the Singapore Bicentennial, local history and heritage, and the trade-offs with economic development.

Shawn graduated with a First Class Honours in Economics (major) and History (minor). He later continued his studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science to read a Master’s of Science in Economic History (Distinction). Shawn is also a successful author of two local history books, including Seah Eu Chin: His Life and Times, which have been featured in The Sunday Times, Capital 95.8 radio, and various online media.

Come to hear more about Shawn’s insights on the pioneers of Singapore and the rich history of Singapore over the past 700 years. You may also engage him on his thoughts on contemporary social and economic developments and changes.
