As you know the results of the National Student Survey (NSS) are out and the University has asked us to seek your views on them. We have therefore booked an “extraordinary” Student Staff Liaison Committee Meeting (SSLC) centrally open to attendance by students at all the various cluster sites. This will be an open format for discussion of the 4 main themes of the NSS, building on the discussions already undertaken with a range of staff, in order to inform the School’s action plan for 2016-17. The 3 Associate Cluster Deans will lead the discussion - initially with all students and possibly followed by cluster-specific break out groups. The meeting will take place on 14 October, Tower Lecture Theatre Guy’s campus. Refreshments will be available from 3pm and the Cluster Deans will stay on afterwards for conversation and further refreshments. It is incredibly important that we seek your input on the development of our action plan, within the timescales required by the University and we really welcome representation from as many students as possible across all clusters and peripheral sites. For those of you who want to come along but do not usually return to London at weekends from external sites, we will be providing travel cost reimbursement. Please submit your expense claim forms to your Site Administrator. This will be an incredibly useful forum for you to have your say, to air your views, and to assist us in addressing these recurrent issues properly and effectively.
