Please join the Harvard Medical School's Harvard Longwood Muslims (HLM) on Fri Aug 21 from 6:00-7:30 pm to welcome new students to the community. A picnic will be held on the dock of the Charles Esplanade between Fairfield and Gloucester (East of the Mass Ave Bridge).

Harvard Chan Queer Students Alliance (QSA) (Wed Aug 26th @ 6 PM)
The mission of QSA is to provide support and space for interaction with other lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender men and women and educate QSA members and the Harvard Chan community about public health issues as they relate to gay and bisexual people, and other issues that affect our community. Harvard Chan Women in Leadership Student Organization (WIL) (Wed Aug 26th @ 6 PM)
The mission of WIL is to promote and foster leadership development among women at the Chan School. The organization strives to raise awareness of gender equity and women’s issues, as well as to build a strong community of female leaders who empower, motivate, and inspire each other. Harvard Chan Christian Student Fellowship (Sat Aug 29th @ 11 AM)
Christian Fellowship trip to World's End Park Saturday August 29, 11 am-4 pm Located in Hingham, MA, World's End Park contains 251 acres of rolling hills, rocky shorelines, views of the Boston skyline, and tree-lined carriage paths designed by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. We'll spend time exploring the park, enjoying a picnic lunch, and then getting homemade ice cream in town on our way back to Boston. Everyone (regardless of faith background/affiliation) is welcome! Please RSVP to Kassie (kdantzler@fas.harvard.edu) by Tuesday August 25 so that we can organize rides.

The Hiking Club will host a Fall Kick-Off Social at The Squealing Pig on Wednesday, September 2nd at 5:30pm. The mission of the Harvard Chan School YXQ Student Club is to promote self-resilience and peer-support among fellow students, to enhance cross-cultural understanding and harmonization across the campus, and to provide an interdisciplinary forum for students, staff and faculty members interested in traditional Chinese culture and its application toward human and public health. Africa Health Forum is a student organization at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. All students interested in health issues anywhere on the African continent are invited to a lunch social Friday, Sept 4th from 12:15-1:30 pm at Penguin Pizza. Chinese Students and Scholars Association at the Harvard Chan School and Student Dance Club at the Harvard Chan School (Fri Sept 4 @ 6PM)
CSSA and Dance Club will hold welcoming party together on September 4th in Kresge 201 starting from 6:00 pm. We welcome everyone especially who are interested in dancing or speaks Mandarin to come and mingle with each other! Food is provided!

Peace be upon you (As-salamu alaykum) Congrats and welcome to Harvard! The Harvard Chan Muslim Student and Middle Eastern and North Africa Student Groups help bring together a small but tight-knit community. Our groups would like to invite you to our first event of the academic year. For anyone interested in the region, the religion, or just would like to meet other students studying/working at the Harvard Chan School, please feel free to join! We would be happy to answer any questions you may have on jobs, courses, and life in Boston- the fun things (the fall, food, hikes, and many more) and not so fun things (snow and lots of it!). We would also love to hear your thoughts on future events. We look forward to meeting you!

Student organizations are a vital part of the Harvard T.H. CHan School of Public Health and enhance the cultural, social and intellectual life on campus. Student organizations provide a way for students to connect with others who share similar interests. 

 

From August 24, 2015 h to September 4, 2015 the following Harvard Chan student organizations are hosting social events. These events are a way for incoming students to connect with returning students. Please RSVP for the social events you would like to attend through the form below. You can attend as many student organization social events as you wish!

In addition to these social events, join all of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health student organizations at the Resource Fair on Thursday September 3rd from 5 to 7 pm in the Kresge Cafeteria. The Resource Fair is an opportunity for students to meet with representatives from Harvard Chan offices and student organizations to learn about resources and programs that might interest you during your time at the School.

Office for Student Affairs

The mission of the Office for Student Affairs (OSA) is to enrich the student experience at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health through a wide range of educational, cultural, and social programming. The staff advises student groups on a variety of issues including goal setting and event planning.

Among other things, OSA assists students with disabilities, works closely with officers of the student government, administers the MBTA discount pass program, assigns lockers, manages Orientation and Commencement programs and serves as an information source for students.
