Event description

Description

Dear Colleagues,

Please join us for an update on Student Mental Health Issues by Dr.'s Barbara Lewis and Doris Iarovici. They will review current mental health issues presented by Harvard students, in the context of national trends, and will update on new systems within CAMHS, and how others working with our students can best support them.

Barbara Lewis is a Child, Adolescent and Adult psychiatrist who has spent her career working in College and University Counseling Services. She was the psychiatrist at Wellesley College for many years and worked at Boston University in their Behavioral Health Department before coming to Harvard in January of 2012. Barbara became the chief of CAMHS in the spring of 2015 and she continues to see a small group of students for medication management and consultations when needed.

Doris is a psychiatrist at CAMHS, with over two decades of experience working with college and university students, and author of the book “Mental Health Issues and the University Student” and other writing about college psychiatry.

Lunch will be provided.
