Student Debt Relief Act Town Hall
Event Information
About this Event
As Hurricane Dorian approaches South Carolina and coastal communities begin to evacuate, Congressman Clyburn is postponing his town hall on the Student Loan Debt Relief Act with Senator Warren that was scheduled for September 3rd. We will send notifications when the event is rescheduled.
Congressman James E. Clyburn and Senator Elizabeth Warren are sponsors of the Student Debt Relief Act, which will cancel student loan debt for 42 million Americans. The burden of $1.5 trillion in student loan debt is adversely affecting the country’s economy by depressing home ownership rates, preventing people from starting businesses, and making it harder for people to finish college. This free event is an opportunity to ask your questions about Congressional efforts to address student loan debt.
Ample parking is available across the street from the fine arts center at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center (200 Buckley St, Orangeburg SC 29115).
Doors open at 5:00 PM. Program begins at 6:00 PM.
This ticket does not guarantee admission. Seating will be on a first come, first serve basis.
