Students should research 5 college and present the following topics:

~College Name and Location

~Type of School; HBCU, Private, Public, etc.

~Admissions requirements and tuition costs (do you meet the requirements-what do you need to do to meet the requirements?)

~Types of Financial Aid offered

~Student Life (on or off campus)

Category 2: Career Research

Students should explore their career goals and present the following topics:

~Specific career

~Education required to enter field

~Starting salary

~Potential companies for employment

~Pros and Cons for career

Students will be judged on the following:

Presentation contents

Oral presentation

Knowledge and ability to answer questions from judges/audience

The next 2 workshops will demonstrate our expectations for each project and offer support to participants. Each participant should register through eventbrite. Prizes are awarded to 1st-3rd for each category. 1st place= Chromebook 2nd Place=$50 gift card 3rd=Grab bag of items

Official competition will take place December 10 and prizes awarded December 17
