About Dave Eng

Dave has over twelve years of student affairs experience working for large private universities, small liberal arts colleges, and private four year institutions. He has worked in student activities, student engagement, service learning, residential life, and study abroad. He published the book *Other Duties as Assigned: Student Affairs on Semester at Sea based on his travels aboard the MV Explorer. He was also interviewed by the New York Times on the culture of “Suitcase Schools” and the role that student affairs professionals play in serving those student populations. Dave completed his doctorate in higher education in 2 years, 8 months, and 30 days while working a full-time job in student affairs. Dave now serves as the Provost for The Job Hakr where he helps student affairs professionals in their job searches and career development. Fun Fact: He has been seasick in every time zone.
