About the Workshop:

This workshop will provide participants with research based instructional strategies to help students understand their environment and daily activities through visual structures. Participants will have a clearer understanding of Autism from a “big picture” perspective, respecting the child’s unique perspective, learning style and needs. The afternoon will consist of a “make & take”. Participants will have the opportunity to make and take with them schedules, work systems, and tasks for their students.

Anticipated Outcomes:

1. Participants will have a basic understanding of Autism.

2. Participants will be able to understand the reason for using Structured Teaching.

3. Participants will have resources and strategies to help students with daily activities, transitions, and behaviors.
