Description

This workshop will provide participants with research based instructional strategies to help students understand their environment and daily activities through visual structures. Participants will have a clearer understanding of Autism by respecting the child’s unique perspective, learning style and needs when managing behavior. Participants will learn the importance of identifying the function of behavior and data collection methods in order to make data based decisions. Interventions and strategies will be provided to participants for them to take back to implement in the classroom and with their students.

Anticipated Outcomes: Reinforce key components of Structured Teaching. Operationally define behaviors and collect data to provide data driven interventions. Provide function based interventions.
