When we practice being sensitive to our bodies and heart, asana practice becomes a delightful experience of comfort, ease and peace.
Practicing yoga is practicing Ahimsa, or not doing harm. In other words, what is needed to protect the body so that we may experience the deeper meaning of yoga. Our body is our sacred temple and should be honored and respected. Each body is different and has unique needs. When we're able to listen to our body it leads to the experience of being free of pain. When we learn to be sensitive to our body, yoga results in relaxation, elevated energy and joy.
This workshop, based on the bestseller Structural Yoga Therapy by Mukunda Stiles, is taught by Chinnamasta Stiles, co-director and Educator of the Yoga Therapy Center in San Francisco.
