Event Details

During this fun-filled brunch, we will have music, fun giveaways, a photo booth, and more!

On Saturday, May 12, 2018, GEEARS: Georgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students, in partnership with ZERO TO THREE, will bring babies and parents from around Metro Atlanta to meet their state, county, and city officials during Strolling Thunder. We’re coming together for roundtable discussions so families can tell their stories about the joys and challenges of raising infants and toddlers in Metro Atlanta. We want Georgia's leadership to Think Babies—for stronger families, vibrant communities, and a prosperous state.

The science is clear that our brains grow faster between the ages of 0 and 3 than at any later point in our lives. When babies don’t get what their growing brains need during this crucial time, it can lead to life-long developmental, educational, social, and health challenges.

ZERO TO THREE designed the Think Babies campaign to promote enriching early experiences and a strong foundation for development from the start. When we Think Babies, we build a better future for us all.

For Families with children ages 0-3:

We’re pushing strollers to put babies in the spotlight. Bring your infants and toddlers to this baby-friendly brunch where we will show our appreciation for all that you do to support your babies. You'll have the opportunity to speak with other families and your representatives and leaders about policies that could improve the lives of your infant or toddler. Never talked to a community leader before? Don't worry! We'll help you practice before the event. After brunch we will push our strollers down the street to get a group photo at the State Capitol.

For State, County, and City Officials:

Join babies and parents from across the region for a brunch at the Freight Depot to show your appreciation for what they do as parents and caregivers. You'll participate in roundable discussions to hear about the everyday joys and challenges from families with young children and discuss potential solutions to support young children. After brunch we will stroll on to the State Capitol for a group photo at the end of the event.

Seating is limited, brunch will be provided, and an RSVP is required to attend.
