Description

The venue's new owners, Rachel and Eric Mitchell, will open their doors for a Shakespeare in Detroit (SiD) fundraiser at the historical Frederick Stearns mansion in West Village located at 8109 East Jefferson Ave. in Detroit. The event will feature 7 scenes and/or monologues from the theatre company's upcoming 2020-21 season along with sonnets, in 12 rooms throughout the newly reimagined Bed & Breakfast as attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at the the Mitchell family's commitment to bringing the historical site back to its original glory with accoutrement fitting the home from the early 1900s.

Come hear samples of Shakespeare's works as you enjoy this strolling dinner with cocktails (included in the price of your ticket) and mingle with SiD's company of actors, administrators and board members.

This event will be hosted by Nolan Finley from The Detroit News and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Stephen Henderson.

Cocktail attire required | 21 and older event | $125 per person | Limited engagement with only 60 reservations available.

NOTE: Guests will experience each scene or room in groups through this choreographed tour of all three floors of the home with a special appearance by the Bard himself. PLUS, an exclusive gift from Shakespeare in Detroit for all attendees.
