Event description
Join us for a detailed look into the continuum of care for stroke patients and follow a case study from recognition to recovery.

About this Event

As first responders, we all play a part in the chain of care for a stroke patient:

recognition, accessing the 911 system, dispatch, emergency response, hospital

diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Learn how each piece is part of the patient

care continuum as we discuss signs and symptoms, 911 intake and dispatch,

first responder care, hospital diagnosis and treatment, and continued care with

speech and physical therapy. The decisions we make and our ability to work

together during patient care delivery literally saves a life.

The event is sponsored by the Fairfax County Women Firefighters Association.

The speaker will be Regina Snyder BSN, RN, CNOR, SCRN Fair Oaks

Hospital Program Coordinator Stroke/Sepsis. Check-in starts at 0730 hours.

The event is free to everyone. Registration is required. Go to Eventbrite to

register: (link) Parking is available in the visitors parking garage behind the

Herrity Building, or in the PSHQ garage if you have access.
