About this event
Crochet is a year-round hobby! In this 4 week series learn several different crochet stitches as well as best practices for reading patterns while making a hat and scarf.
Level: Total beginner to a crocheter who needs a refresher, and everyone in between. No prior crochet experience is required for this class!
Week 1: Hook, Yarn, and Stitches
We'll start class by introducing the project we will be making! We will review what kind of stitches/techniques we will cover. During class you'll learn three basic stitches.
Week 2: Pattern Party
Learn how to read a pattern. An important skill for crotcheting. Learn what the abbreviations mean and how to follow a pattern. Continue learning how to crochet in rows by beginning your scarf!
Week 3: Round and Round
In this class yo'll be introduced to crocheting in the round by beginning construction of your crochet hat using the provided pattern.
Week 4: Bits, Bobbles, and Embellishments
Learn how to finish off projects with appropriate knots, tassels, pom poms, and other embellishments.
Materials: Bring at least two skeins of worsted-weight bulky yarn. Please also bring a 6.5 mm crochet hook. Materials can also be purchased from instructor ($25 for entire series).

My name is Isake (pronounced e-SHO-kay) and I've been crocheting for 25 years. My crochet business is called Stitched by Isake and I'm excited to help folks find their own unique crochet style.
