Stress Reduction Through Mindfulness: Find Peace in Every Moment

Event Information

Event description

Find Peace in Every Moment With Stress Reduction Through Mindfulness (Starts Jun 10)

Research shows that we spend, on average, 48% of our time in distracted states of mind that are detrimental to our happiness. In extreme cases, our compulsive thoughts create out-of-control states of depression or stress.

The antidote to this is mindfulness. Mindfulness involves observing our experience rather than merely participating it in. When anxious or depressive thoughts arise, for example, we can simply notice them, and choose not to get drawn into the stories they try to create for us. We are then free to choose responses to stressful situations that make life less stressful for us, rather than more.

On this 28-seeeion course, we’ll learn to cultivate mindfulness in order to reduce our levels of stress.

What other participants have said

  • “I am approaching my practice with more confidence, creativity and faith, and it has become altogether more natural. The course has also been a springboard for deeper investigation into the foundation of Buddhist thought.” Julia E.
  • Thank you for providing this course. It really helped calm my mind about trying to ‘do’ meditation perfectly. I think I can relax more about meditating and mindfulness, using triggers during the day and breathing mindfully. Rebecca M.
  • “I can’t thank you enough for letting me take this journey with you, I’m a better, calmer, more mindful person, for it.” Lin G.
  • “I just completed my first meditation to the guided meditation on feelings and am quite astonished. When I brought a person to mind I associate with unpleasant feelings, you talked about suffering. This is the first time I really experienced viscerally the suffering. It brought tears to my eyes to acknowledge the suffering I create for myself by my judgments of this person. Profound.” Andrea S.
