Description

Many musicians, actors and performers find it difficult to keep up their concentration and focus before a show or an audition. The reason for this lies within our body's reaction to stress. The breathing becomes shallow and erratic, our muscles tense and we feel less confident as our thoughts wander. Our body is in a fight-and-flight mode.

Although this is a natural reaction to a certain degree, there is also a way to gain control of your body again.

As a French Horn player and yoga instructor I have experienced the control of my breathing as the key factor to calm my mind, boost my confidence and give the performance that I wanted to.

I have created this 3-hour workshop to explore the connection between our breath-body-mind complex in a practical way and to help you stay in charge of your performance under stress.

You will learn to:

  • Understand the relationship between your breath and your body

  • Use simple breathing techniques to calm your mind

  • Know what is a good posture to complement your breathing

  • Practise different body awareness exercises to relax the muscles

  • Improve your concentration and stay focussed


There is a maximum capacity of 12 people.
